Your private driver will meet you at the airport in Casablanca, Morocco's commercial capital, and drive you to Essaouira, a charming fishing port on the Atlantic Ocean. Check in at your accommodation and relax.

Meet with your guide to explore this peaceful city. With its white houses, its winding streets, its tenacious sellers, its smell mixing leather, spices and fish, its seagulls screaming in the sky and its women whose faces can be furtively glimpsed, this medina offers an unprecedented spectacle. Afternoon at leisure.

After a leisurely breakfast head to the seleted moroccan cooking workshop for your morning cooking class and discover hands-on the secret spices and techniques used in Moroccan cooking. Expect a hands on intimate class, with a very gentle dada (traditional Moroccan cook). Enjoy what you have prepared for lunch.

We can travel to Diabat by boat from Essaouira or perhaps even by camel (or horse, if you want).

About 3 kilometers separate Essaouira from the tiny settlement of Diabat. It is home to the remains of a former Sultan's palace from the 18th century, and in the 1960s, hippies frequented the area. According to rumors, Jimi Hendrix went there and as a result, he created the song "Castle Made Of Sand"!

Depart for Marrakech mid-morning, visit an Argan oil cooperative on route to learn about the processing of the unique argan nut that grows nearby and is used to make argan oil for cooking and cosmetics. The cooperative aids divorced and widowed women by giving them work. Stopping en route for lunch at a Moroccan vineyard exclusively dedicated to grape varieties of the Rhone Valley.

Drive to the Ourika Valley. Check-in at your accomodation.

On today's easy hike in and around the National Park, you will see Tagadirte town and the nearby Tnine souk. You will also visit a Berber home to learn about the Berber way of life and to enjoy the hospitality of the locals while sipping mint tea.

Today, go on a delightful hike in the area with your guide, learning about the local salt industry at Taourirte, and stopping at the Nectarome Garden.

After your walk, relax by the pool, visit the hammam, or have a massage to recover before dinner.

After a leisurely breakfast, depart for the Agafay desert. It is the desolate area outside of Marrakech. We will reach the a chic refuge, which is completely candle-lit and is tucked away in an oasis of palm and olive trees. Explore this incredible eco-friendly sanctuary and cool down in the pool. If it's not too hot, mountain biking is available. Mount your dromedaries before dusk so you can enjoy the hour-long ride and the immensity of the desert.

Enjoy dinner served by the fire in your personal bivouac (Berber tent) while watching a performance by fire jugglers and gnaoua musicians. After dinner, drive to Marrakech. Check in at your hotel.

After breakfast, the entire day will be devoted to visiting Marrakech, the "Perle of the South," which was established in the XIXth century.

Learn about the history of the Medina and its most important mosques, palaces, markets, and souks to begin your exploration of Marrakesh's past. You will learn about the major historical features, learn about the history of each building, and observe people going about their daily lives. You will learn about the palaces of the wealthy family and their former lifestyles. And you will take pleasure in Jemaa El fna Square's liveliness.

This morning, your guide will meet you to begin your walking gastronomic tour of the souks. See and taste some classic Moroccan cuisine while exploring the real local shops and markets. A bakery, the "doughnut man," the farnashi for the tangia, a market for fruits and vegetables, an olive market, and a meshoui tasting will all be on your itinerary. After the lunchtime gourmet tour, there will be plenty of time to explore Le Jardin Secret, a beautiful and magnificent 19th-century palace with traditional Islamic gardens, a shop, and a café.

Take the journey back to Casablanca after leaving your hotel. This concludes your Moroccan Family Tour.
